Darin Thorp, 42, passed away in a car collision on Jan. 24, 2013 in Vancouver, WA. He was born on Oct. 9, 1970 in Fort Carson, CO. Darin was a graduate of Columbia River High School Class of 1989. He was involved in many activities and sports, including wrestling where he was a District Champion.
Darin was a loving and caring father to
Mariah Thorp-Coleman and Brandon Thorp.
He was currently employed by the Veterans Administration assisting Disabled Veterans in the Transportation Dept.
He was also widely known for his involvement in the local soccer community, greatly influencing others' lives through the love of the sport as a player, coach and referee.
Darin is survived by his parents, Wes (Sonja) Thorp and Sandi (Don) Dyer; sister, Michelle (Mike) Sigman; step-sisters, Tonya Elton, Tamara Morales, Tres Hancock and Dawn Evanson; step-brother, Devin Dyer; grandmother, Louise Akers; and many other family members.
