Visitation will be Thursday for Danny E. Daniels of Lawndale, a South bay resident for 30 years.
Born Aug 2, 1947, in Honolulu, he died May 17, 1986.
Mr. Daniels was an U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star, Army Air Metal, parachutist badge and Army Commendation Medal. He was a lifetime member of Hawthorne Post No. 2075 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hawthorne Moose Lodge No. 1746 and was employed as a machinist at Thompson Industry of Hawthorne.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Kathy; two daughters, Lisa Salisbury of Florida and Sherri Smith of Connecticut; two sons, Danny II of Lawndale and Scott Smith of Harbor City and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. at White and Day Mortuary, Manhattan Beach. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Pacific Crest Cemetery chapel, Redondo Beach.
Burial will follow at the cemetery.
