Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Collier-Butler Chapel for Edna Louise Alford Martin Rose, 96, who passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. Bro. Robbie Edwards and Bro. Lauil Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Old Harmony Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Rose was the longest surviving member at Rainbow City First Baptist Church, joining at the age of 17. She worked at Pope Drugs and Rainbow Pharmacy.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Orion B. Martin and Ernest Rose.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Rhonda Martin, Annette Harmon, Judy (Jeff) Blackwood, Chris (Beverly) Winningham, Johnny (Wendy) Miller and Audra (James) Beard. She is also survived by a cherished friend, Jamie Ledbetter; and many more great-nieces, nephews and friends....
