Carrie May Bowers, widow of Harry Jacob Bowers, 1083 Marshall Street, died at the Washington County Hospital yesterday at 12:30 p.m. after an illness of four weeks. She was 68.

Born in Funkstown, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Virginia (Williams) Zeigler, she had lived in Hagerstown for the past 40 years. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. Dultinger, Hagerstown; sons, John C., Riverlon, Va.; Clarence E., Front Royal, and Kenneth C., Richmond; ten grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ina Kimball, Hagerstown; Mrs. Lena Jacobs, Front Royal; Mrs. Esta Gruber, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Merle Ridenour, Philadelphia; brother, Guy E., Hagerstown, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home and will be removed Sunday to the Grace Brethren Church where services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Warren Tamkin officiating. Interment will be made in Bakersville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 7 p.m.
