Carrie was the daughter of William T. Foreman.

She married Charles Bluejacket.

"'Grandma' Bluejacket, Full-Blood Shawnee Indian and One of This County's Oldest Residents, Dead

Carrie Elizabeth Bluejacket, 84, full-blood Shawnee Indian, died at 5:15. p. m. yesterday at Miami baptist hospital where she was admitted for treatment 10 days ago.

Mrs. Bluejacket was born in 1854, three and one-half miles south of Miami on the west bank of the Neosho River. She had resided in the district all her life except for a short period during the Civil war when she went to Kansas. Her husband, the late Charles Bluejacket, a member of the Quapaw tribe, died 37 years ago. The town of Bluejacket was named after him.

'Grandma' Bluejacket, as she was known to her many friends, was a member of the Modoc Mission church. Mrs. Bluejacket is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Amy Peacock of Miami; Mrs. Ida Holden of Quapaw, and Mrs. Blanche Hawk of Douthat; two sons, Mr. Edward "Tobe" Bluejacket of Wyandotte, and Clyde Bluejacket now with the U.S. Navy, 34 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m on Sunday at the Bluejacket schoolhouse with the Reverend Perisho of Wyandotte and the Rev. M.K. Darcing of Miami officiating. Burial will be in Wyandotte cemetery under direction of the Lane Funeral home."
