Mrs. Mary L. Turner, widow of the late James Turner, died in the Saratoga hospital Wednesday morning at three o’clock. Death was caused by strangulated hernia. She was taken seriously ill last Saturday, and on Monday was taken to the hospital, where a successful operation was performed, but owing to her age she was unable to rally, and passed away as above stated. Her remains were brought to her late home Wednesday, and yesterday at 2 p.m. the funeral was held from the house, Rev. C. H. Wyman officiating, assisted by the choir of the Baptist church and interment was made in Rural cemetery.

Deceased was sixty-eight years of age, for a number of years member of the W. R. C., an exemplary christian, a good wife and a kind mother, and was esteemed in the community for her many virtues. Her daughter, Mrs. Sanford Ellis; three sisters, Mrs. William Morse, of Chatanooga, Tenn., Mrs. F. C. Wilson, Mrs. A. J. Cheritree, one brother, E. A. Van Wagner, all of Glens Falls, in their bereavement have the sympathy of the many friends of the family.
