Lewis Dwight Talkington Age 81, loving husband and devoted father went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

He was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Folsom, W.Va., to the late Robert and Carrie (Price) Talkington.

Lewis retired from Danner Press after 42 years of service; and was a member of the East Canton Church of God.

He is preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lura J. (Beckett) to whom he would have been married 62 years this August; nine children and their spouses: Dianne and Kenneth Kendall, Richard and Dottie Talkington, Darlene and Rick Rine, Randall and Linda Talkington, Stephen and Tracey Talkington, Jane Clapper, Tamara and Thomas Grubb, John and Laura Talkington, Todd and Kim Talkington; 27 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dollie and Wanetta; three brothers, Clarence, Homer and Jack.

Funeral services will be Friday Aug. 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St., East Canton, OH 44730, with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be two hours before services on Friday at the church (12-2 p.m.). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Canton Church of God.
