Andrew Joseph Colletto, Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Father's Day, June 21, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on May 21, 1935 to the late Alessandro and Grace Lanzaro Colletto. Andrew was a former partner with his brother, Raymond R. Colletto in Colletto Brothers, Inc, formerly known as City House Demolishing Co. Inc. After he retired, he went on to work for his son from 1994-2005 at Penske Truck Rental and then working with his daughter at Breakthru Fitness. He was an avid golfer and a professional Drummer and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly M. Colletto, his loving sons Samuel R. Colletto and his wife Nancy, Andrew J. Colletto, Jr. and his wife Valerie all of Stamford as well as his four adoring grandchildren, Samuel R. Colletto, Jr.,Danielle J. Colletto, Jake J. Colletto, Noelle B. Colletto and his beloved canine companion Amanda. Besides his parents, Andrew was predeceased by the love of his life of fifty five years, MaryAnn Elizabeth Monaco Colletto, his brother Raymond A. Colletto and his sister Mary Loglisci. A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 9:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Mausoleum/ Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Andrew's memory to the Healing Hearts Recreational, 48 Union Street, Stamford, CT 06906
