CASPIAN-Louise Boele, 65, passed away after a long illness Dec. 18 at a Green Bay nursing home.
She was born April 7, 1937 in Crystal Falls, the daughter of Zara (Zini) Aldegarie and the late Santo Aldegarie. She graduated from Stambaugh High School. She was employed as the program director at the abused women's shelter in Rhinelander for five years and as manager/custodian at the Caspian Community Center for the two years following. She also worked as financial specialist at the Iron County Courthouse in the Housing Rehab office from 1985 until her retirement in 1998. While at the courthouse she received many recognition awards from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority for her outstanding service. She will be remembered for her many creative talents including mastering many arts and crafts from mere scraps. She was well liked and admired by everyone who ever made her acquaintance. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Alan Aldegarie.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kyle and Roxanne Choitz of Arlington, Kans., Scott Choitz of Green Bay, Vikki and Robert Wilke of Green Bay, Lee Boele of Caspian; her mother of Caspian; six grandchildren, Kurtis, Nicole, James, Sara, Tom and Ashley; great grandchildren; a sister Joanne Aldegarie of Green Bay; two brothers, Joe (Sandy) Aldegarie of Missoula, Mont. and Paul (Kris) Aldegarie of Iron River; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 4 from noon until the time of services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Highway US 2, Iron River.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. Thomas Mackey officiating.
Burial will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
