Herbert Adams Jr. Caribou 56. Died at a local hospital 9-23-1976 after a brief illness. He was born in Providence, RI., 4-20-1920 the son of Herbert and Mable (Williams) Adams. He was the owner and president of the Adams Van and Storage Co., located in Caribou and Brunswick, ME. He had been a resident of Caribou for 22 years. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of both the VFW and American Legion of Caribou. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the First Universalist Church of Caribou. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Violet (Walker) Adams of Caribou, 5 sons, Herbert III of Woodland, Larnard, Paul, Dale and Marshall, all of Caribou, 2 stepsons, Joseph Walker of Springfield, MA., and Stanley Walker of Griswold, CT., 2 daughters, Mrs. Fred (Phyllis) Brown of Woodland and Mrs. Garnet (Virginia) Hildebrandt of Caribou, 1 sister, Mrs. Chester (Vera) Brown of Caribou, 2 brothers, Harold and Raymond Adams, both of Providence, RI., a sister, Mrs. Violet Teirney of Providence, RI., 24 grandchildren. Burial Evergreen cemetery.
