On November 14, a UH-1E helicopter (tail #153737; callsign "Scarface 10") from VMO-3, a single ship VIP flight for the commanding general of the 3rd Marine Division, was observed to exploded in flight and crash south of the Than Van Xa village complex and Highway 1. Three crew members and two passengers perished in the accident.
