He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Springfield, the son of Robert C. Armstrong and Betty E. Armstrong Schmittler.
Mr. Armstrong was a nurse's aide at Swanholm Nursing Home in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors: mother, Betty E. Schmittler of Pawnee; sister, Barbara C. Hall of Springfield; brother, Samuel E. (wife, Melissa) Schmittler of Pawnee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel, the Rev. Bennie Fisher officiating.
