Lifelong Malaga area resident, homemaker

Frances "Dee" Magliocco (Carter),77, of the Malaga section of Franklin Township died suddently Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, 2002, at home.
Dee was born in Tazewell County, Virginia, and was a life-long Malaga area resident. She was the daughter of the late J. Franklin and Peggy Cosby Cochran Carter and the wife of the late John J. Magliocco who died in 1995. Dee was a homemaker and also assisted her late husband on the family farm on Marshall Mill Road. She was an active member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Malaga and several of its church groups. She was active in supporting St. Rose of Lima and the Notre Dame Parochial School. She was a member of the Vineland Product Auction and was a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Everyone will miss her canned Italian eggplant.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Rose Mary (Louis) of Malaga, her granddaughter, Stacey Lee Vest of Malaga; two brothers, Charles E. (Hilda) Carter of Pocahantes, Va. and Thomas J. (Judy) Carter of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters Betty Lou (John) Barna of St. Aubyns, W.Va., and Barbara Ann (Joe) of Gatesville, Texas; and numerous brothers-in -law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Malaga with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland.
