George Washington Brown, of Table Grove, died Saturday, aged 67 years, 2 months and 9 days.
The deceased, son of Jackson and Nancy Brown, was born Dec. 31st, 1860. He was united in marriage with Miss Mary E. Nebergall, July 23, 1878. To this union two daughters were born. Mrs. Brown died in 1890.
In 1894 Mr. Brown was united in marriage with Miss Pearl Severns of Astoria. Two sons and one daughter blessed this union, the daughter dying in infancy.
Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Maude Husted, Peoria, and two sons, Relaford and Keith Brown of Table Grove and four grandchildren, also one brother A. J. Brown of Vermont and six sisters, Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. Samuel Cook, Mrs. Thomas Cook, Mrs. Henry Hess, Mrs. Rachel Billingsley, all of Astoria and Mrs. Thomas Pollock of Vermont.
Mr. Brown lived in Astoria for a number of years, moving to Table Grove in 1911 where he resided until the time of his death. His last illness covered a period of two months and while his suffering was intense at times, yet he bore his afflictions with patience and fortitude.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Presbyterian Church at Table Grove, conducted by Rev. John Davis of Woodland township. Burial in Salem cemetery.
