The death of Ira Delong, an old resident, occurred this morning at his residence on Hoosick Street, Troy.

He was ill about a week. Mr. Delong was born in Saratoga County sixty-two years ago, but had lived in Troy nearly all his life. For many years he conducted a shoe store on River Street. Recently he was engaged in the sand business. He was one of the first to build on Burdett Avenue when it was opened. Mr. Delong attended the Second Presbyterian Church. He was a man of integrity and was highly respected. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. A. Church, Miss Grace R. Delong, Hattie Delong and Georgianna Delong, and eight sons, Henry W., Ira W., Clifford L., Willard G., Warren A., Eugene E., and Ernest Delong, all of Troy, and Arthur W. Delong of New York City.
