Oldest daughter of Robert Thompson & Surrissa Lockwood Thompson , (This spelling that is on her tombstone. Some documents show her as Syrsia, Surissa, Carissa, Cloressa, Tresa among other spellings.)

Polly married Milo Austin Fessenden on October 7, 1850 in Oakland County, Michigan. To this marriage was born a son Willard in 1853 near the Van Buren/Cass County line in Michigan (near Decatur/Nicholsville.) Sometime between Willard's birth and 1859 Polly died. Her husband remarried to a girl named Polly E. Bell. She lived just down the road (on the Van Buren County side of the line) from where Polly M.'s father Robert lived in Cass County.

I am still looking for a death record or article for Polly's passing. She was the oldest sister of my gr gr grandfather. She died after the death of her mother. I am assuming that she was buried near her mother in Anderson Cemetery. IF I find the record and I am wrong, I will make any necessary correction as soon as possible.
