ROBERT A. WENDLANDT

Funeral services for Robert A. Wendlandt, 53, who died suddenly Thursday morning at his home in Letts, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home. Rev. Fred Boyce will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.

He was born Jan. 22, 1915 in Muscatine, the son of Frank and Pauline Wendlandt.

His first marriage was to Helen Zumwalt, Dec. 14, 1935. She preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Betty McFadden, Aug. 15, 1954.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church; and Consistory and Kaaba Temple Shrine, Masonic orders. Mr. Wendlandt was the owner and operator of Wendlandt Trucking and Shelling Co.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Wendlandt, Letts; one son, Robert Wendlandt Jr., Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Amos, and Mrs. Sandra Flanagan, both of Bettendorf; one brother, William Wendlandt, Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Alex Bender, Muscatine; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Bartenhagen, Muscatine; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, he also was preceded in death by his father.
