Jehu came to Montgomery County Ohio about 1809 from Reedy Creek on the Yadkin, in Rowan County, NC. Once in Ohio he became the owner of a 112 acre tract( other source states 105 acres) located on Salem Pike a few miles north of the city of Dayton opposite the Brethren Church at Ft. McKinley. His will was recorded in Montgomery Co. Ohio on Oct. 13th 1823. source: Probate records of Montgomery county 1803-1850.

Possible place of burial is the family farm on Stringtown RD. Montgomery, County Oh.

Jehu served as a Bishop or Elder in the Church of the Brethren , known as Dunkards

Jehu served in the American Revolution: Service: North Carolina.
