Jean Elizabeth Kriner, age 99, formerly of Lemasters, passed away June 27, 2015 at the Village of Laurel Run. She was born January 24, 1916 in Chambersburg, PA to John and Margaret Cordell. She was the widow of the late Harold Kriner who passed away last year. Early in life she had worked for The Stanley Co. and later worked for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit as a teacher assistant in the Lemasters School. She was a member of the PA Association of School Retirees, Franklin County Chapter. She was a Life Member of Ft. Loudon United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two daughters: Dolores (wife of Harold) Brake of St. Thomas and Shirley (wife of Vincent) “Tom” Rhodes of Mercersburg. She has four grandchildren: Randall Brake, Douglas Rhodes, Jason Rhodes and Petrina Hoffman Clement. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Kyle Brake, Charles Brake, Cody Rhodes, Toby Rhodes, Dylan Rhodes, Shelby Hoffman, Dane Hoffman, Courtney Shreiner, Aaron Shreiner, and six great-great-grandchildren: Jamesyn Brake, Cohen Brake, Everly Brake, Carter Shreiner, Kailey Hoffman and Weston Hoffman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rhonda Brake Shreiner and her six siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd.. St. Thomas with Revs. William Kauffman and John Witmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Ft. Loudon United Methodist Church, 12781 Main St., Ft. Loudon, Pa. 17224. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 L.W.W., St. Thomas, PA will be handling the arrangements.
