Mary Carson, 90, passed away on May 22, 2010 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mary was the seventh of nine children born to Joseph and Elizabeth (Wegener) Bruckner on May 9th, 1920 in Humphrey, Nebraska.

Mary Bruckner attended St. Francis Parochial Schools and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1938. After high school Mary worked and helped manage the family farm until she married Howard Carson on April 26, 1944.

Howard and Mary raised seven children, and continued to farm until 1965. After leaving the farm in 1965, Mary worked at the Crete Nursing Home and later for the University of Nebraska Food Service Department until her retirement in 1982.

Mary was a devoted church member. Her most recent active parish was St. Patrick's in Lincoln when she resided in the Mahoney Manor Apartments. Mary's mainstay was her family, friends, and associates she met in conjunction with the many organizations belonged to by her husband, Howard, whom she so faithfully loved and supported. Mary was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; one son, Douglas; sisters: Adeline, Elizabeth, Clara, and Elsie; brothers John, Larry and Joseph.
