Her maternal grandmother and great aunt were reputedly buried in the vault of their brother Augustus Van Horn, in Trinity Churchyard (Diary of a Little Girl in Old New York p. 16). Her mother's cousin, John Yates Cebra, lived on Cebra Avenue on Staten Island (p. 82).
