OBITUARY
Enoch Cyrus Shelton, 67, died in Scio at 3 a.m., July 11 from the effects of kidney disease. He had been bedfast for several weeks.
Born seven miles south of Scio, October 5, 1867, he had spent his entire life in Linn County with the exception of one year in eastern Oregon. He married Amanda Pomeroy, October 10, 1888.
Survived by the widow; two sons, Rolla and Roy, both of Scio; sister, Mrs. Isobel Yarbrough of Ashland; brothers, M. H. Shelton of Portland, George of Ashland and Riley of Scio; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Scio Baptist Church of which he was a member of long standing. Rev. V. L. Louks will be in charge.
