Mr. Robert "Blaine" Bailey, age 87 years, a resident of Beverly, passed away Wednesday morning, July 1, 2015 at his residence. H was born February 5, 1928 at Weston, West Virginia, a son of James Harvey Bailey and Georgia Windon Bailey. On June 30, 1951 at Monterey, Virginia, he married Lona Zirkle, who preceded him in death. Surviving is one daughter, Shirley Ann Bailey Daniels of Beverly, two granddaughters, Deborah Hinzman Harper and husband Dave of Elkins and Leslie Hinzman of Elkins. Also surviving is one great granddaughter, Alyssa Diann Harper of Elkins, three sisters-in-law, Margaret Thomas of Elkins, Mary Bertelli of Wheeling of Wheeling, Vernia Hammonds of Shadyside, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Blaine is also survived by his best friend, Chakco, his loving dog. Preceding him in death was his son-in-law, Gene Daniels, three brothers, James "Eugene" Bailey, Forest Clay Bailey, James Harvey Bailey, Jr., and one sister Evelyn Ruth Bailey. He was the last of his immediate family.
He attended the schools of Randolph County and was a farm equipment salesman for many years until his retirement. He was a Methodist by faith. At Blaine's request, his remains will be cremated. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens.
