Lucille was born September 25, 1914 in Sparta, Michigan to the late Ernest and Inez (Braford) Burley. She had resided in the Clio area most of her life. Lucille married Frank Pitkin on May 21, 1934. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2001. She was a member of the Spiritual Episcopal Church in Mt. Morris and the Maccabees. She was also a Cub Scout Leader for many years. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and playing cards.
Surviving are: children, Karl Pitkin of Clio, Connie (Jim) Doyle of Clio, Delores (Frank) Lester of Mt. Morris; 14 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Lucille was also preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Cummings; brother, Emmett Burley and sister, Flossie Eckler.
