PITKIN, Frank L. - Of Clio, age 93, died Thursday, August 30, 2001 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at the Whipple-O'Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio, Rev. Audrey Charlton officiating with interment at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-9 Sunday, 5-9PM only Monday. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Frank was born in Mancelona, MI, son of the later Amos and Bertha (Lesher) Pitkin. He was united in marriage to Lucille Burley on May 26, 1934 in Mancelona. They resided in the Clio area most of his life. He was a member of the Spiritual Episcopal Church in Mt. Morris. Mr. Pitkin worked for the C & O Railroad for 42 years and was a Police Officer for the City of Clio for over 20 years, retiring in the later 1970s. Surviving are: wife, Lucille; 4 children, Karl Pitkin, Connie and husband Jim Doyle, all of Clio, Delores and husband Frank Lester of Flint, Virginia and husband David Cummings of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Phoebe and husband Al Anderson of AZ; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Fairy Homan.
