Robert established the Independent Mortuary in Milwaukee.
Robert M. Beffel died early Wednesday at his home, 5102 West Washington Boulevard, Milwaukee, following a long illness. Mr. Beffel was born in Racine, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Beffel, and assisted his father in the Beffel Mortuary until 1927 when he went to Milwaukee and established the Independent Mortuary.
Survivors are his wife Edna; a son, Robert W. Beffel of Iowa City, Ia., and his father, William J. Beffel, Racine.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday in the Independent Mortuary, 1451 North 27th Street, Milwaukee, with burial in Fairview Mausoleum at Milwaukee. Friends may call at the mortuary in Milwaukee from Friday noon until the time of services.
