Alton Abbott, 45, a resident of the Carlyss Community, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday in a Houston Hospital.
The body is at Hixson Funeral Home in Sulpher From where date and time of service will be announced.
Mr. Abbott was born in Vinton and had lived there most of his life. He was an oil field worker and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Abbott and two sisters, Mrs. J. R. LeDoux, Sr. and Mrs. Archie Lyons, all of the Carlyss community.
