Mrs. Ferrett worked 16 years for Grant Air Mass in Vanderbilt as a secretary, worked at Standard Products in Gaylord for 10 years, worked as a nurse's aide at Alpine Center in Gaylord until it closed, and her favorite job was working at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Rapids for 12 years before retiring. After retiring, she and her husband spent the summers in Gaylord and the winters in Yuma, Ariz., area for 20 years.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, William L. Ferrett; her parents, Roy and Eunice Black; and her brothers, Ralph, Lester and Leroy.
She is survived by her sister; her loving children and grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor E. J. Wolfe officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
