McDowell, Eldon "Mac", 81, rancher, died Thurs. Jan. 20, 2005. Service 1 p.m., Tues. Jan. 25, Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Mr. McDowell was a WWII veteran and a founder and officer of the National Appaloosa Club.

Survivors; special friend, Pam Coggin; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Stan Howie of Salina, brother and sister-in-law, Irvin and Phyllis McDowell of Salina, sister, Norma Larson of Athol, grandchildren Steve and wife Dawn Howie of Aurora, CO, Lisa and husband Wes Carlson of Salina, great grandchildren Ashley and Alyssa Carlson, many nephews, nieces and host of friends. Memorial established with 4-H Clubs of America.
