He was born in Lewiston on July 31, 1929, the son of Zackery and Laura (Aube) Cote.
He married Theresa Cote on June 9, 1951; she was the love of his life.
Prior to his retirement, he worked at the Bates Mill, Puritan Chevrolet, Lewiston Public Works and the recycling plant in Sabattus.
Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jeannette Lajoie of Leeds and Laura Gagne of Sabattus; one son, Bertrand and his wife, Tammy Cote, of Oxford; seven grandchildren; four step-grandsons; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Muguette Derosiers of Connecticut; and two brothers, Laurent Cote of Lewiston and Rene Cote of Connecticut.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Bertrand and Lionel Cote; and by his parents.
