A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Mildred Evelyn Daron, who died Feb. 6 at age 87.
Mildred Evelyn Summers was born March 4, 1920, in Eugene, and moved to Portland as a child. A graduate of Jefferson High School, she worked for Holladay Park Hospital and later was an assembler for Tektronix. In 1972, she married Donald Daron; he died in 1974.
Survivors include her son, Gary D. Abbott; daughters, Mary Lou Farrier and Roberta L. Panko; and five grandchildren. Her son, Mike Abbott, died in 1946.
