Ken was a lifelong resident of Belleville, Illinois, he retired after 30 years in the United States Air Force, as a Colonel and Command Pilot with an excess of 13,000 flying hours.
He received numerous awards and decorations, including the Legion of Merit. He served overseas tours, including all of 1969 in Vietnam. He was a Detachment Commander, a Military Airlift Wing Squadron Commander, a Military Airlift Command Director of Aircrew Standardization. The Mac Chief Pilot. After retiring from active duty in 1982, Ken became the Director of the St. Louis Port Authority for 6 years and then as a Project Manager for Calhoun Construction of Belleville, Illinois until his final retirement in 2006.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Daisy, nee Morrison, Anderson
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife who he married in 1984, Janet (Jan) Anderson, of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Wales, UK.; two daughters, Jeanne M. Anderson of New York, New York; Laurie A. (William) Hake of San Francisco, California; two sons, Kenneth Jr. (Nathalie) of Dallas, Texas and John R. Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Katie, Jimmy, Stephen, Ali, Chase, Evan, Sophie and Devon; two great grandchildren, Elle and Soren. Also, his beloved dog, Stanley.

Interment will follow with full Military Honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
