Melvin Eugene Kaut, 48. son of Calvin and Verna (Payne) Kaut, was born Sept. 16, 1948, in Arroll. He died May 22, 1997, at his residence at Arroll. He married Diane Carol Carr, Feb. 6, 1968. They had four children, Melvin Scott, Christina Dawn, Eric Wade and Jared Joseph. Mr. Kaut was saved at and early age and rededicated his life to the Lord in February 1997. He worked with livestock and last year fulfilled his dream of owning a livestock auction. Surviving are his wife, Carol, his parents, his children, Scott of Mountain view, Christina and Jared of the home, Eric of Rolla, his brothers and sisters, Calvin Jr., of Nixa, Robert of Mountain view, Jerry of Houston, Wanda Cooper and Jack of Summerville, Cindy White of Rockville; and three grandchildren. Services were May 24, at the Fundamental Bible Baptist Church at Arroll with the Rev. Chanse Webster, the Rev. Oscar Cunningham and the Rev. Emmett Bradford officiating. Burial was in the Arroll Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summerville.
Melvin was my brother, an outstanding person who lost his life to lung cancer. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always carried a smile. He cherished the time he spent with his family and many friends.
