Murl Sandage, 88, passed away July 7, 2015 at his home.



He was born February 6, 1927 in Uniontown, son of the late Claud and Caroline (Howe) Sandage. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Omer and Phillip Sandage, and sisters, Ada Beard, Betty Ruth Sandage, Jean Stroud and Mae Mullis.



A U.S. Army veteran, Murl served in the Korean War earning a Purple Heart and 4 Bronze Stars. He was united in marriage to Maggie Harbaville January 11, 1957, in Bristow. Murl was a member of Bristow Christian Church, VFW Post #2939, American Legion Post #213 and Branchville Masonic Lodge #496. He found much pleasure working on his farm.



Murl is survived by his wife of 58 years,

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM CDT Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Bristow Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by St. Meinrad American Legion Post #366. Bro. Bill Griesler and Bro. Al Madden will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday. There will be a Branchville Masonic Lodge memorial service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.
