Stella Blackfelner
SAN DIEGO, Calf. - We lost our beautiful mother on June 15, 2015.
She was born May 19, 1923, in Minneapolis, Minn. and lived to be 92 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Blackfelner; five brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her children, Diane Eggerman of Phoenix, Ariz., Loren and Carol Blackfelner of Canton, Suzanne and Jim Schwartz of Decatur, Greg and Bridgette Blackfelner of Chino Hills, Calif., and Janine and Keith Clements of La Mesa, Calif. She had a very large extended family which included 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Stella was very active at Santa Sophia Catholic Church in Spring Valley, Calif. She was Past President of the Seniors Club, a member of the Catholic Daughters, Santa Sophia Woman's Guild and Society of St. Vincent DePaul. Stella and her husband, Richard, were active participants in the Share Food Program over their 33 years of membership.
She will be greatly missed by all the people that came in contact with her and loved her.
Her Memorial Service will be at Santa Sophia Catholic Church on June 29, with internment at Fort Rosencrans National Cemetery.
