A. H. Carter, father of Mrs. Jake Johnston, died this Monday morning at the State Hospital in St. Joseph (MO) where he had been a patient for several months. He had developed a chronic heart condition and at the age of 84 everything was against him. He was the father of 15 children, of whom seven are living. He also is survived by his devoted wife. Mr. Carter was born at Hamburg, Iowa, but had lived at Blythedale (MO) several years.


ADDED INFORMATION: On the Marriage Record for Albert H. Carter and Nora Chubick, it gives Albert's place of birth as Lancaster County in the State of Nebraska with his father being Louis Carter and his mother Ida Boone. Albert and Nora were married at the M. E. Parsonage in Nebraska City in Otoe County Nebraska on January 24, 1893. Also according to the Marriage Record, he was living in Fremont County Iowa at the time of his marriage to Nora.
