The son of Calloway and Margaret (Russell) Allen. He married Ada Alice Cook on Oct 1, 1905. They had 7 children, one dying in infancy. Arthur spent his entire life in Harrison county, uniting at an early age with the Mt. Olive Christian Church. Following the early death of his wife, he maintained a home for the children for many years. He then made his home with his son Orval for some 30 years until his death.
His survivors include his children Everett, Orval, Raymond, Gladys Geyer, Clifford and Cecil. One brother Clarence Allen and one sister Elsie Osborn.
