Gianna Isabelle Carrera, 8, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015. Gigi was born on August 30, 2006. She leaves behind her parents; Leah Carrera and Robert Gross, older sister; Gabriella Carrera, and beloved pets; Bennie and Calvin.

She passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Gigi was an energetic, confident, and bright girl. She was vibrant with a bold nature and had the incredible ability to connect and interact with people as if she knew them forever. When life would hand her lemons, Gigi had the power to take positive action, sweeten the situation, and make lemonade. The power to create a desirable outcome was always in her reach. She attended Kloefkom Elementary with a private tutor and completed the third grade. She loved dancing, singing, cartwheeling, telling jokes of any kind and just being with people. Her zest for life was contagious and everyone who knew her would say she ruled the world and the amazing ability to inspire and motivate.

Survivors include parents; Leah Carrera and Robert Gross, sister; Gabriella, grandparents; Carol J. Hall and Allan Hall, Marilyn "Lita" Mecham, Gary (Susan) Gross, great-grandparents; Bob (Betty) Gross, aunts and uncles; Doug Hall, Kevin Hall, Lisa Zuhlke, Kim Clark, Suzanne Seagren, Cheryl Hall, Troy Hall, Tami Prang, Jess Foreman, John Gross, as well as many cousins.
