H.C. served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam and was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rachel Anderson; daughter Vicky Harrison; son Dennis Anderson (Suzanne); sisters, Irene Ashby, Willie Hall; brothers Louis Lafayette Anderson, Jr. (Vera), George Anderson (Vera); three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
H.C was preceded in death by Betty Sue Hodge Anderson, his parents, Louis and Florence Anderson and a grandson, Barry Kyle Anderson.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, "Behind the Stone Wall".
