Edna Gladys (York) Currington
Feb. 26, 1907 - June 10, 1984

Edna Currington

Mrs. Edna Gladys Currington, 77, of Corsicana, died June 10, at a local nursing home.

The funeral was 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. D.D. Atkinson and Rev. Don Shultz officiating. Burial was in Younger Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Dockery of Corsicana, Barbara Garcia of Canton, Euna Kirk of Mabank and Alpha Ivie of Dallas; one son, H. D. Currington of Dawson and Clarence Currington of Levelland; two sisters, Agnes Slaughter and Bertha Thomas, both of Corsicana and Ola Williamson of Fort Worth, three brothers, T.J. Preston and Joe York, all of Corsicana; two stepdaughters, Essie Currington of Corsicana and Zelma Marlow of Blooming Grove; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were H.L. Jayroe, Curtis Henthorn, Richard Holloway, Ronnie McGaha, Nolan Dockery and Bill Pritchett.
