DEATH OF MRS. RANKIN
One of the saddest deaths that has taken place in our city for some time is that of Mrs. N. K. Rankin, which took place at their home on Sixth street yesterday at 2 P.M. Mrs. Rankin had been in our city but two years, but her fine social qualities and engaging manner won the hearts of all who knew her. She was a graduate of the female college in Jacksonville, Illinois, and was a lady of an unusually brilliant mind. Her husband, Mr. N. K. Rankin, is a member of the firm of F. E. Beach & Co., and well deserves the sympathy of his numerous friends. Mrs. Rankin also leaves a family of small children, and aged father and mother in the east, and an only sister, the wife of Rev. B. T. Vincent, now of Philadelphia; also two brothers.
The funeral will take place at 71 North Six street, Thursday at 10 A.M. Friends of the family are invited.
