Ronald A. Reed, 67, of Sistersville, W.Va, passed away March 27, 2011, at his residence.

He was born June 1, 1943, a son of the late Ross and Ruth Hissom Reed.

He was a 1961 graduate of Sistersville High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and he attended Pursley Church of Christ. He was retired from the American Cyanamid/Cytec plant in Belmont, W.Va., after 34 years of service and he owned and operated his own business, Reed Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Buck Reed; two sons, Steven (Robin) Reed and Mike Reed, all of Sistersville; and four grandchildren, Stephanie and Dillon Reed and Sydney and Jace Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating. Interment will be in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, W.Va. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
