She was born Sept. 2, 1914, in Janesville, Wis., the daughter of Charles and Genevieve McGinity Doheny. She graduated from Edgewood High School and College in Madison, Wis., and from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Janesville, Wis., in 1935.
Anna Marie married Francis H. Kressin on July 1, 1936, in Janesville. He predeceased her on April 24, 1994.
Anna Marie was a registered nurse. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, the church Rosary and Altar Society at St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was the first lay female staff member at Beloit Catholic High School, and a staff member of the St. Peter Clavier House.
Survivors include three sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, two brothers, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; five infants, and two brothers, Charles Doheny, and Msgr. James Doheny.
Prayer services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 1996, in the Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Thomas Doheny from St. Thomas Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be held in Mount Thabor Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Daley, Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, Beloit.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Blackhawk Technical College Nursing Program.
