Wayne E. Deeds, age 80, of Findlay passed away at 1:45 p.m. on July 10, 2015 at the Heritage Manor in Findlay. He was born on July 27, 1934, to the late Rev. Harry G. and Helen (McClelland) Deeds in Marion, Ohio. Wayne married Mary Jane Dreisbach on June 19, 1960, and she survives. Wayne is also survived by a daughter: Susan (Todd) Rossman of Jenera; two grandchildren: Kayla Rossman of Columbus, and Kyle Rossman of Jenera; five nieces and three nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by a son: Brian Deeds; three sisters: Betty (Stanley) Thomas, Dorcas (John) Gorenflo, and Lois (Kenneth) Stover; and a niece; Nancy Dreisbach. Wayne was a 1952 graduate of Findlay High School and graduated from Tri-State University in 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Wayne was employed by Benton Ridge Telephone Company from 1970-1996, retiring in the capacity of company President. He taught Sunday school, served on various committee's, and was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Findlay. Wayne loved to golf and was a member of the Senior Golf League at Oak Mallet Golf Club. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday (10:00AM-11:00AM). A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 218 E. Sandusky St., Findlay, OH 45840. Pastor James Dreisbach will officiate and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice. Online condolences may be made via www.coldrencrates.com.
