Brian R. Burr, age 83, of Menasha, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. On October 5, 1931, Brian was born in Neenah to Wilbur and Mary C. (Huspek) Burr. Brian was a graduate of Neenah High School and later enlisted with the United States Army. On September 5, 1953, Brian was united in marriage to RoseMarie Suchowski at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha where they were still members. He was also a current member of the Knights of Columbus. Brian had worked for the George Banta Company for 25 years and went on to work for Fox Stamp until retirement. He was on a bowling league for many years, enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. Brian will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, RoseMarie; their children: Valeria Sarnowski, Mike Burr, Karen (Randy) Swanson, and Janet (Paul) Neyers; a daughter-in-law, Bobbi Burr; his grandchildren: Joseph (Sachi) Sarnowski, Patrick (Jennifer) Sarnowski, Jordan and Melissa Sarnowski; John and Michael Burr Jr.; Breanne and Brett Swanson; Alex and Krista Neyers; and Amanda (Bronson) Forgue; his only great-grandson, Ryu Sarnowski; a sister, Diana (Lyle) Kronburg; a brother-in-law, John (special friend, Sandi) Suchoski; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Burr; his son-in-law, Keith Sarnowski; and two sisters-in-law: Eleanor (Robert) Sokolowski and Kathy Kruckenberg.A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street in Menasha. The Memorial Gathering will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Inurnment will take place in St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha.
