Ethel was the youngest child of Sarah and Matthew. Ethel looked just like her half sister Julia except she had brown hair and Julia's was auburn. Ethel was married to Francis Buhs and they had two children. Her husband abandoned the family while they lived in the "north woods". They had no food or money. Ethel later obtained a divorce and married Duncan Moss who adopted both boys. He stipulated that both boys be raised as his natural children and were never to know of their adoption. Francis died at the age of three years and Charlie at age forty three never knowing of the adoption. Ethel was employed as a secretary and then for a computer company setting up new computers for businesses. She was very skilled at what she did. She was able to pick the jobs she wanted to do and could choose her own work hours. She gave birth to five more children (including one set of twins) while married to Duncan. Ethel had heart trouble and diabetes for many years. Her death was due to a heart attack while she was sleeping. She was buried at Beverly Cemetery. SS#352-01-8825
