TRAGIC SHOCK LEADS TO DEATH OF WOMAN, 79

Never fully recovering from the shock of finding the body of James B. Mitinger at his home on Oak Ridge early on the evening of September 12 when she and her daughter went there to make their home with young Mitinger for the winter, Mrs. Flora Eva Boyer, 79, died Wednesday morning at the Mitinger home.

Mrs. Boyer, whom Mitinger affectionately had called "Grams" during the years of his boyhood which he had spent in the Boyer home, was not in good health when she came to Gettysburg early this month. A short time later her arrival at the Metinger home, Mrs. Boyer tripped over a rug and fell. It was while seeking aid to care for her mother that Mrs. Sarah Boyer, Huntingdon, found Mr Mitinger's lifeless body. The coroner's certificate said Mitinger had been electrocuted two day before.

The elder Mrs. Boyer's condition had been serious since that time. The shock of Mitinger's death and the fall aggravated a complication of ailments.

She was a native of Webster, Pa., and was the widow of Dr. Philip A. Boyer, of Huntingdon. She was a daughter of the late Augustus and Jane L. (jordan) Carey, of Maine.

The only survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Boyer, and a brother, James A. Carey, of Sellingsgrove.

The body will be taken to Selingsgrove for services and internment. The funeral will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of a niece, Mrs. C.C. Bolig, Market street, Sellingsgrove.
