At the time of his death, he lived at 1403 Sylvanie St. in St. Joseph, MO. Robert G. Andrews lived with him (possibly his son.) Unfortunately, the building has since been razed. I was lucky enough to peek inside before it went down, and thought it was a lovely old place with beautiful woodwork. And it had an unusual floorplan for a home of its age with raised floors off the central foyer.
John died of pneumonia, complicated by diabetes mellitus, which he'd suffered from for ten years. He was the son of George Andrews of Huntley, Scotland and Janette Skinner of Scotland.
Heaton served as his Undertaker and he was buried on September 24, 1918.
He was preceded in death by his Nephew, Charles Kelly; his sister, Jessie Kelly, and by Robert C. Andrews (relationship unknown).
Several other Andrews lived in St. Joseph.
