She was born March 5, 1918, in Redgranite, the daughter of Harry and Theresa (Nigbor) Thurston. She married Henry A. Baillod on October 23, 1937, in Montello. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2002.
Mary was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainfield. Mary spent most of her working career in the newspaper publishing business. After retirement, she enjoyed spending the winter months in Texas with her husband. She also enjoyed golfing, bingo and Monday morning breakfast with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Louise (Frank) Barnett, Oklahoma; Henry (Shirlee) Baillod, Hancock; Madeline (Jim) Callahan, Hancock; JoAnn (Dave) Siebel, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and two great-grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
