Also he is survived by two brothers, Lonnie Graves and his spouse of Durham, NC and Bob Graves and his spouse of Sherman, TX, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
O.B. was born on January 21, 1933 in Gadsden, AL but spent most of his growing-up years in Memphis and Paris, Tennessee. The family consisted of six boys and one girl. The girl dying at about thirteen years old. They were called gypsies and traveled around, sleeping in tents and making a living from fixing cook stoves and sewing machines and whatever else needed fixing in the area.
O.B. served his country in the United States Air Force for over twenty years and was awarded NCO of the Year twice.
O.B. was saved at Fellowship Baptist Church and started almost immediately riding a Sunday School bus and then becoming a bus captain. For many years he drove a bus and also kept the buses running mechanically. O.B. has always loved kids and just had a heart for the bus ministry.
We are confident that he is having a great time in Heaven, meeting all the kids and families that are there as a result of his ministry.
Services will be on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Bella Vista Baptist Church, 2800 Louisiana NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. following the service at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Bella Vista Baptist Church Bus Ministry.
